INNOVATE NZ 2010 

There are three categories of awards for Innovate NZ 2010 Awards.  These include:

Awards of Excellence:

These are presented to financial members for projects completed in the previous three years and includes small firm categories.

Awards are made to:

ACENZ Awards of Excellence:  These are made to projects that show excellence in technical skills, interaction with the client and other project team members, and some level of innovation.  There are three levels of award:  Gold, Silver and Award of Merit.  Projects are judged on their own merit rather than against the others entered, so there may be more than one award made in any of the categories. 

59 projects have been accepted for entry to the 2010 Awards of Excellence.

SPECIAL AWARDS

Telecom/ACENZ Future Leader Award:

Entrants are nominated by their firms as potential business and industry leaders.  Entrants must be competent managers, offer valued contributions to the wider consulting team and have established strong and successful working relationships with clients and communities.  Telecom New Zealand and ACENZ proudly provide the prize for this award.  In addition to a monetary prize, the winner receives a commemoration plaque/trophy and is nominated to FIDIC's Young Professionals Management Programme.  This programme is managed through FIDIC and enables young professionals from around the world to study and work together within a mentoring programme for a year.  Participants then meet at the next FIDIC annual conference to discuss their work and present their research programme to the international conference.

The three finalists will attend the INNOVATE NZ Awards of Excellence dinner where the winner will be announced.

/ACENZ Best Practice Award:

Tonkin & Taylor are the proud sponsor of this award for 2010.  This award is offered to encourage the next generation of Consulting Engineers to develop good written communication skills 

For the first time this year, the three winners of this award will have their travel expenses covered to attend the INNOVATE NZ Awards of Excellence gala dinner to receive their certificate and monetary prize.
