About
Cato Bolam Consultants provides a wide range of services relating to land development including planning, surveying, engineering and managing and enhancing the natural environment. We are a medium sized consultancy operating from four offices. We undertake projects primarily in the Auckland and Northland areas, with some of our services being provided nation-wide.
Cato Bolam has been in business since the 1970’s. We originally operated as separate businesses located in West Auckland and Orewa. We combined our operations in 2001 and have since then established further offices in South Auckland and Whangarei.
Originally a primarily surveying company we have grown our resources considerably in recent years and now have substantial resources in planning and civil engineering. Most recently we have established expertise in ecology and land contamination. In total we employ about 70 staff across our four offices.
Cato Bolam staff are highly experienced and qualified, including accreditation through the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors, New Zealand Planning Institute and Engineering New Zealand. We place a high value on professional development and believe we are at the head of the game in our technologies and skills. We are also very active in professional institute affairs, including having directors as past and present board and council members.
At Cato Bolam we pride ourselves on our approachability and making those we work with on our projects, be they clients, sub-consultants, Council staff and of course our own staff, part of the project team.
