Strategic vision

My strategic vision for ACE New Zealand is to be the voice that enhances the value of professional services engineers and helps ready its members for the future in which they leverage technology to decarbonise New Zealand.

By collaborating with other Board members and firms within the membership, I would aim to raise the issues of today, and the potential issues of the future, to enhance the value of professional services engineers and enable access to tools that aid innovation and increase efficiency across the sector. I would also put particular emphasis on the needs of specialist and small to medium-sized firms.

Strengths

In terms of governance experience, I've previously held board and chair roles on the industry advisory board for the University of Canterbury Electrical Engineering Department. My focus is on strategy development and financial performance, and I'm highly outcome driven.

Other strengths include industry experience, SME leadership, innovation, business development, strategy development and senior management experience.

What does diversity and inclusion mean to you?

That everyone has and feels like they have equal opportunity, that their voice is heard and they are treated fairly and independently from their background, beliefs or preferences. Only in this way can we create a working environment that has diversity of thought, explores all avenues and creates a culture where all feel valued.
