About
Engineering Geology Ltd (EGL) specialises in the provision of geotechnical, dam engineering, earthquake engineering, engineering geology and civil engineering consultancy services throughout New Zealand and overseas.
We are based in Albany, Auckland, and have a wide range of clients in the domestic, commercial, industrial, and mining sectors as well as local authorities, land developers, other consultants, insurance companies and lawyers.
EGL’s project sites are mainly in New Zealand. However, a significant part of our business comprises engineering consultancy services for mine sites in countries such as Australia, New Caledonia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Laos, Philippines, Africa and Eastern Europe.
Our core capabilities include geotechnical investigations and design for residential, commercial, and industrial properties, ground investigations for dam and tailings dam sites, engineering geological studies; feasibility studies; design; monitoring; surveillance and safety reviews for water storage and tailings dams, site specific seismic hazard studies, Engineer to the Contract, expert opinion and independent peer review services.
