Design-Led Thinking workshop - Auckland

Aurecon, 185 Fanshawe Street, Auckland - August 12, 2021 at 9:30am - 1:30pm

About

Design-led thinking is creative problem solving that has a human-centred core. It encourages organisations to focus on the people they're creating things for, which leads to better products, services, and internal processes.

Learn how to implement design-led thinking into your business and practice a few activities with Claire Lyons from Aurecon and Fiona Millar from Harrison Grierson.

We'll take a current issue that our members have and explore it in more detail. In a true design-led thinking style, we are not going to define the process but we do invite you to join us, learn more about the process and the power of truly understanding the right problems to solve.

The forum is also a chance to network and build relationships with other businesses in our sector who're facing similar challenges.

About the presenters

Claire Lyons, Design to Innovate Partner, Aurecon

Claire believes design-led thinking is useful for projects that aren’t clearly defined, lack data and have a lot of unknowns. A typical day in the office at Aurecon New Zealand for Claire is asking a lot of questions!

Fiona Millar, Digital Business Partner, Harrison Grierson

Fiona leads innovation, continuous improvement and strategy development at Harrison Grierson. She believes every industry has the potential to be creative, and uses the principles of design-thinking and a people-centred approach to inspire everyday creativity.
