About Holly

I’m a Chartered Professional Engineer, people leader and project manager based in the WSP Nelson office. I have more than 15 years’ professional engineering experience in various locations throughout New Zealand and Australia.

As Business Manager for the Nelson WSP office, I lead and manage the Nelson business with a focus on achieving client and commercial outcomes for success. I provide project management and project director services for the upper south business of New Zealand.

I have a background in transportation engineering with a specialty in road safety engineering. I have provided road safety advice to clients across New Zealand including central and local government, and private sector developers.

I have recently returned to the region with my young family, having started my career in Nelson as a graduate engineer.

What strengths do you bring to the Regional Chair role?

I have a collaborative working style with a strong track record of delivering projects across a range of disciplines. I have worked in a range of commercial models, including partnership and alliance models, working alongside contractors and other consultants to achieve successful outcomes for clients. I have strong commercial acumen skills and an appreciation and understanding of project and commercial risks. I'm passionate about achieving fair outcomes for all parties involved in the delivery of the project.

How would you support ACE’s mahi in your region?

By connecting with other consulting engineers in the region, understanding their challenges, and identifying synergies with others locally and nationally. By identifying opportunities to connect the dots to increase collaboration, leverage local knowledge and celebrate success. By providing updates to local firms on national ACE initiatives and providing events with the opportunity to engage and hear from others in the industry. I am also passionate about diversity in the industry and succession planning for the next generation.
