Strategic vision

My strategic vision for ACE New Zealand would be to activate and enhance our ability to influence and advocate on the issues that are critical to the success of our sector. We will achieve this through harnessing the collective power of ACE New Zealand members and building strong, meaningful engagement between them, their clients and the communities we serve.

United together as collaborators on the issues that matter most, we will have greater impact in navigating the disruptions of today and tomorrow: from having a healthy and diverse workforce to harnessing the benefits of new technology and ways of working, and rapidly responding to the existential threat that is climate change.

Strengths

I would bring strengths in governance, marketing and communications, legal, market focus and transformation experience. By leveraging my role as a New Zealand executive leadership team member at Aurecon and my broader corporate and commercial skills, I would bring diversity of perspective, insight and challenge in shaping and delivering on ACE New Zealand's strategy: promoting the interests of members and furthering the practice of consulting and engineering in delivering on the needs, aspirations and demands of society.

What does diversity and inclusion mean to you?

Diversity to me is about the contribution that peoples’ different backgrounds and individual circumstances can make to the organisation - from diversity of culture and thinking styles to gender, ethnicity, age and education.

Inclusion is about ensuring organisational cultures adopt procedures to value and make space for everyone in the workplace, allowing differences to co-exist in a mutually beneficial way. Success comes from making everyone feel accepted and comfortable, ready to share their opinions and thoughts without hesitation.
