The transition to Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand has presented the Infrastructure and Investment group (IIG) with the opportunity to revisit the way health infrastructure projects are prioritised and managed across New Zealand.
This webinar with the recently appointed Chief Infrastructure and Investment Officer, Jeremy Holman and some of his team will provide background and insights to the role and responsibilities of the Infrastructure and Investment Group, their immediate priorities and short-term focus.
It will touch on a broad range of areas including:

- Design Guidance

About the presenters
Jeremy Holman, Chief Infrastructure and Investment Officer
Jeremy joined Te Whatu Ora in December 2022 to provide national leadership for the planning and delivery of capital projects across the motu. Jeremy’s priority is to establish a team that is capable to deliver on the Crown’s expectations of investing in and delivering a significant programme of infrastructure works to a quality standard, on time and on budget with a focus to reduce duplication and bring together our expertise to have consistency where it matters.
Jeremy was previously the GM of Infrastructure Delivery for Crown Infrastructure Partners, with responsibility for the delivery oversight of more than $6 billion of major infrastructure programmes receiving NZ Government stimulus funding.
Paul Hrstich, Commercial, Construction and Procurement Director
Paul is responsible for implementing the Health Infrastructure Delivery Strategy and creating a new commercial and procurement function across the Infrastructure and Investment Group (IIG) of Te Whatu Ora. This represents a multi-year aspirational pathway to make the health sector a client of choice for the construction industry.
Prior to joining Te Whatu Ora, Paul worked for New Zealand Government Procurement within MBIE working in All-of-Government (AoG) as the Manager of Supplier Relationship Management.
Stacey Marsh, Manager of Facility Design and Advisory
Stacey joined Te Whatu Ora in March 2022 responsible for establishing the team that is tasked with setting and maintaining the design guidance for health facilities and providing assurances over that guidance on a per project basis. She is NZ's representative for the Australasian Health Infrastructure Alliance and is passionate about ensuring the design guidance is fit for NZ context and considers whanau / lived experiences.
