NZCEL was established in mid 2014 by Dr Peter Johnstone, who has been practising since the early 1970s.. Peter is passionate about structural engineering and has chosen to remain in the design arena rather than following the management path. Part of our objective is to be a centre of design excellence to enhance the industry through training and mentoring structural engineers in specialist areas and methods to enable younger engineers to gain sensible, practical design experience and enhance their client contact skills. One of our promises to our clients is that we will add value, not cost. We will talk to you in language you can understand, not in industry jargon. We have a strong team with diverse skills and cultural background.
