About the speakers

Beaufa Brown leads the Social and Sustainable Outcomes team at Height, where he guides people and projects across the public and private sector to deliver economic benefits and broader outcomes. Beaufa brings a wealth of transferrable skills from over 15 years in leadership and management roles within the RNZAF. Of Māori and Samoan decent, Beaufa’s whakapapa is to Te Rarawa, Ngāti Whātua o Kaipara and Ngāti Paoa; his aiga is from Sato’alepai, Western Samoa.

Claire McCarthy leads Height’s Bidding Team and is heavily involved in delivering sustainability and social outcomes projects. In the procurement field, she has been a strong advocate for the leveraging of economic, social and environmental benefits through contracts – to improve equity, sustainability and deliver better public value from Government investment. Her team’s clients are changemakers – from organisations such as KiwiRail, Te Puni Kōkiri, Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand, Corrections, Watercare and Woolworths.
