Who can join ACE?

If you’re a large global firm, SME or sole trader practising professional services consulting in the built and natural environment in New Zealand, you can apply to become an ACE member.

What do ACE members commit to?

Holding professional indemnity insurance of at least $500,000 and public liability insurance of at least $1,000,000
Competing in the marketplace in good faith and without unfair advantage
Engaging openly and honestly with clients, and providing impartial and competent advice
Disclosing and managing conflicts of interest with clients or potential clients
Having a policy or process in place for responding to client concerns or complaints
Having quality management systems
Promoting inclusive and equitable workplaces
Maintaining the health, safety and continued competence of your people
Considering the environment and the wellbeing of communities in how you run your businesses

What’s the application process?

Submit your application online
We confirm all details are submitted correctly
We contact your referees
One of our ACE New Zealand Regional Chairs will interview you
We ask for feedback on your firm from our current members
We take your application to our next Board meeting for review and vote

2025/2026 membership fees

You pay an annual subscription based on the size of your firm on 1 January each year. We use a base rate of $899+GST and apply a unit rate based on the size of your company. For example:

Sole traders pay $917.16
Firms with 50 employees pay $7,566.57
Firms with 100 employees pay $12,381.66

The annual fee is halved into two invoices sent in April and September each year.
