The Pillars Competency Framework
In an ever-evolving landscape, where technology and business processes are constantly advancing, it's vital we equip ourselves with the skills necessary for the future of work.
Developed in consultation with ACE members in response to the rapidly changing landscape of our industries, The Pillars Competency Framework identifies the most critical non-technical skills and competencies required to thrive as a professional services consultant. The framework is underpinned by a commitment to te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, in recognition of our local heritage and context as a bicultural nation and Treaty partners.
What's included in the framework?
The framework has been developed around four pillars of competency:
- Relationship management
- Talent management
- Operational excellence
- Professionalism and culture
Each pillar has three levels of competency, which you can use as a benchmark to guide your learning and capability development.
Who should use the framework?
- Individual practitioners to identify their current level of capability and plan their development
- Leaders as a development and planning tool, to identify their teams' strengths and areas to grow their capability
- Recruiters and hiring managers to identify the key capabilities, create clear and realistic role profiles, assess candidates and build job descriptions
- Business owners to understand what expertise they may need when recruiting new talent to deliver on operational and strategic outcomes
