What is the problem we’re trying to solve?

A lot of great discussions are happening across the construction and infrastructure sector as we look at how to increase efficiency and productivity to deliver innovative, affordable and impactful outcomes for our communities.

How we define, set up and procure a project from the outset has significant implications downstream for the outcomes we will achieve – cost, time, innovation, behaviours and more. How we procure can also help us achieve better cultural, economic, social and environmental outcomes for New Zealand. Nevertheless, we continue to see inconsistent, unco-ordinated approaches to procurement that have widespread negative impacts throughout the supply chain and society, affecting our ability to be efficient and productive.

ACE New Zealand believes procurement is the key to industry transformation – we can improve procurement if we want to.
 

What does the masterclass involve?  

• An interactive, conversation-led programme using visual thinking tools to transform the way we approach procurement
• Work in teams to clarify the procurement "problem", design the focal question, and redesign the way we approach procurement
