Mark Kiryakos is a consulting geotechnical engineer with over 36 years’ experience in civil and geotechnical engineering, gained through accomplishment of numerous successful projects in challenging geological conditions in Australia, New Zealand and other international locations.
Throughout his career Mark was involved in various roles in the investigation, design and construction of variety of projects. These included residential subdivisions, bridges, motorways, railways, haul roads, embankments, landfills, water and wastewater treatment plants, pipelines, power generation and transition stations, wind and tank farms, earth dams, coal mines, renewal energy power generation such as hydro dams, wind farms and solar plants.
His experience includes also numerous multi-storey and high rise commercial and residential buildings, industrial, educational, recreational, sport and resort facilities, as well as service stations. In the majority of the projects, he worked in collaboration with geologists, engineers of various disciplines (predominantly with structural and civil engineers), project managers, environmental scientists, architects, developers and contractors.
His focus on safety, comprehensive knowledge and experience in geotechnical engineering resulted in delivering innovative and optimum solutions in terms of safety, cost, constructability and sustainability for numerous complex and highly important projects.
