The Engineering Collective (TEC) is a professional engineering consultancy established in 2020 by Greg Davies to provide specialist structural design, assessment and advice for building projects. After more than two decades of engineering leadership in other organisations, Greg set up TEC to provide a platform to follow his passion to add value to his clients and their building projects directly.
The company name reflects the collaborative approach that TEC uses to provide the best solution and outcome for each project. They collaborate with clients and the wider project team to deliver successful projects that realise the client’s vision. This includes collaborating with other structural engineers who have specialist expertise or capacity to enhance TEC’s service offering.
TEC collaborates with suppliers of new, innovative and modular structural solutions to add value to appropriate projects. Greg’s experience and strength in communicating complex structural issues effectively and clearly with clients, other stakeholders and consultants ensures that the project’s structural engineering delivery is well managed reducing risk and removing uncertainty.
Greg has gained experience as an independent engineering expert witness for projects with failures and disputes. This includes forensic engineering to determine the cause for failures and issues that have led to a dispute.
