Winning ACE Awards for non-traditional engineering endeavours extra special says WSP
ACE Awards winner WSP says the awards are one of the best ways to gain recognition for excellent consulting engineering projects. Research Manager Louise Malcolm tells us why the awards are worth entering.
How did you and your team feel when you won?
We were thrilled in 2024 to win a gold award for our human factors design work on the Wellington Rail Operations Centre and a silver award for our rail slope monitoring system, both delivered for KiwiRail.
As regular ACE entrants, being recognised for our services always brings a tremendous sense of achievement and pride in our hardworking project teams. Last year's ACE recognition was particularly special, as our winning projects were far removed from traditional engineering endeavours.
How have you used the awards? What does winning an award mean?
We've proudly shared our ACE achievements through internal and external news stories. There are many excellent consulting engineering projects happening across Aotearoa New Zealand. The ACE Awards shine a light on these significant efforts.
Would you encourage others to enter the ACE Awards? Why?
If you're considering entering, we highly encourage it. In our experience, it's one of the best ways to gain recognition for your teams, celebrate great client relationships, and stay informed about industry advancements.
