Diversity and Inclusion Award 'an honour and a powerful opportunity'

Our 2025 ACE New Zealand People Awards are now open and we want to hear about the amazing mahi consultants are doing within their organisations and communities.  

We asked 2024 Diversity and Inclusion Award winner Sarah Lang about why she’d recommend entering the awards. 

 

What did winning the 2024 Diversity and Inclusion Award mean to you? Why should people enter the awards?

"Winning the inaugural Diversity and Inclusion Award at the 2024 ACE Awards was both an honour and a powerful opportunity. I encourage others to enter this award because it provides a meaningful platform to showcase and advance the causes you’re passionate about."  

Has the award led to any opportunities for you? How have you used your prize?  

"For me, the award created new pathways to deepen my work and learning. I was fortunate to use the prize to attend the Diversity Works conference and complete a Women in Governance training course. These experiences have strengthened my ability to influence change and connect with others equally committed to building a more inclusive industry."

Applications for this year’s ACE New Zealand People Awards close on 11 July and will be presented at the ACE Awards Gala on 23 October in Auckland.
