Commute Transportation Consultants is a transportation planning and traffic engineering consultancy. Commute is the brainchild of Leo Hills and Tony Innes who, between them, have more than 40 years’ experience in the transportation industry. With their staff of dedicated transportation professionals, they offer their clients an extensive range of services with a focus on personalised service and a collaborative approach to finding transport solutions. Tony has a diverse transport background including modelling, peer review, transport assessments, transport study leadership, transport procurement advice and providing expert witness for clients. Tony has been the recipient of the ACENZ Future Leader Award in 2010, and more recently has been awarded for his work with the Puhoi to Warkworth Planning Alliance. As the Alliance Manager he successfully led this team through the Board of Inquiry planning process. Leo has a diverse transport background including transportation assessments, geometric design, modelling, peer review, safety auditing, transport study leadership and providing expert witness at both Council hearings and Environment Court for clients. The range of developments Leo has been involved with include childcare facilities, residential subdivisions (ranging from one lot through to 1000 lot subdivisions), retirement villages, industrial developments, retail developments, office developments and rail / roading / traffic design projects.
