The ACENZ Client Award acknowledges an outstanding client contribution to the project which enabled the consultant to help lead, connect and shape the future of Aotearoa.
The ACENZ Client Award acknowledges an outstanding client contribution to the project which enabled the consultant to help lead, connect and shape the future of Aotearoa.
An outstanding client who:
- embraces the contribution the consultant brought to the project
- both client and consultant share a common, clear vision for the project
- behaves with integrity and transparency
- is fully engaged - but not controlling - throughout the project
- Is realistic about budget
- Engages experts they can trust
- Engage consultants with well-articulated scopes of work, under fair conditions
- Identify risks and allocate appropriately
How to enter
Projects cannot be directly entered for a Client Award. The judging panel will consider all entries into the ACENZ Awards and evaluate if any may be worth to receive a Client Award.
Criteria
- appointed the consultant through a procurement process that aligns with their values and outcomes being sought
- is an informed client who engages in a collaborative and open manner
- Always behaves with integrity and transparency
- creates an environment which allows the consultant to excel
- Practices key principles of the Construction Sector Accord
- it is not a special category and any contenders would have been nominated in the awards process on their own merits by the lead judge
